I wish I knew what I know now when I was 18 years old, the story would be probably different now. Of a true experience isn’t the best teacher. I have heard many foly.ake this statement.
I remember growing up with just one single idea, it was my perfect plan into a future where bed where made of roses. I remember I had this perfectly planned out step and event for each stage of my life, it was sweet all what my imaginative mind did was to construct a perfect elevation for the floor plan I had.
But then came the test of time and reality and my perfect plan became a typical example of a sand castle, am sure you know how the castle ended.
Many misconception to life people has had, some due to childhood experience, others due to naivety but majorly due to ignorance.. yeah ignorance. But whatever the reason is, you only have yourself to hold to ransom.
few misconception about life to avoid.
1. You are created for one thing.
The great phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” as much I will love to agree but while you weren’t created to do everything, you were created to do more than one thing.. it’s your choice to be monosyllabic.
2. A degree is a gaurantee to wealth
The society concept is go to school, graduate and get a gainfully employment, but what they fail to take into account is the Dynamics of economy and in a country as ours where a thousand apply for a vacancy of 10, how much of a gaurantee is the degree. To your degree add other skills.
3. Education is better than skill set and business.
Not to strike a direct comparison between any, but if you can get both, it’s awesome.
4. Isolation is superior
You can’t do it on your own, you can’t know it all, create a circle, have relationship, leverage on it and get to achieve more when you collaborate.
So there you have it, few misconception to life. As simple as they seems they can significantly determine how much of your time you utilise and how many would end us as tales by moonlight story in your children ears.
